Uttarakhand Tourism to help Chardham Pilgrims starting April 22 Uttarakhand Tourism has decided to provide on-call registration at hotels for Pre-booked guests on the Chardham route. Uttarakhand Tourism also announced that the Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board will open a call center from 7 am to 10 pm to assist pilgrims.
For the convenience of pilgrims who have pre-booked for Chardham Travel and hoteliers in Chardham, facility has been provided to get travel registration on the same dates through web portal or mobile app. Registration is done at Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, Badrinath and Hemakunt Sahib. Toll free numbers are provided for this purpose. The journey starts on April 25. The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has authorized online booking for the convenience of pilgrims traveling to Kedarnath Dham by helicopter, the state tourism department said.
The Uttarakhand Tourism Development Council had said in March that a total of 6.34 lakh devotees had registered for the Chardham travel. Chardham Yatra in Uttarakhand is one of the most popular Hindu pilgrimage destinations in India. This pilgrimage is a tour of the four holy places of Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri located in the Himalayas. The Chardham travel will begin on April 22 with the opening of the Yamunotri and Gangotri temples. Kedarnath will open on April 25 and Badrinath on April 27.

You have to register for the trip through the website. Those who currently have an account on the website can log in and register and others can proceed directly to the registration. Those who complete the registration should ensure that they have entered the correct mobile number and full name. Also the registration process can be completed by including all the family members.

Those creating new accounts are also required to enter correct passwords. After signing in a dashboard can be seen under the name of the person who has completed the registration. In this, passengers can plan their trips through the option of Create or 'Manage Your Tour'. As part of this, it is necessary to record the type of travel, the places you want to go, the information about the accompanying passengers and the dates.
Only after entering this information and saving it will get the option of registration. Details of places to go can be obtained from here. Fill in the required information. After completing this, the documents proving the registration will be received. While preparing for the journey, the document containing the QR code should be printed and kept.
Along with this, an SMS containing the registration ID will also be received on the given mobile number. A 'Yatri' certificate will be issued along with this after verification. Uttarakhand Tourist Care app can also be downloaded and used for further travel assistance.

Meanwhile, the Uttarakhand government had earlier announced that strict restrictions have been imposed on the Chardham Yatra, which will begin on April 22. According to the new order issued, registration has been made stricter for those arriving here. The government's stand is that no travel permit will be issued to anyone who does not complete the registration process.
