14th February, which is considered by the world as the day of love, has another special feature for every Indian to remember for the past four years. February 14 is also the day we lost 40 brave soldiers who are the guards of the country. Today the country is observing the fourth anniversary of the Pulwama terror attack.
Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist Adeel Ahmed Dar drove an explosive-laden car into the CRPF convoy and carried out the terrorist attack. The terrorists targeted a convoy of 78 vehicles carrying over 2,500 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel from Jammu to Srinagar.
The attack took place in Lethapora in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district. Investigation revealed that 300 kg of explosives, including 80 kg of RDX and ammonium nitrate, were in the dead car.
Balakot airstrike:
Balakot airstrike is a name that should be read along with the name Pulwama. On February 26, 2019, the Indian Air Force attacked a terrorist camp in Pakistan's Balakot region to avenge the martyrdom of CRPF jawans. No border was barred by a nuclear-armed Pakistan in the face of every Indian's desire to ask in return. Three hundred terrorists were killed in the air force attack. After the Balakot airstrike, India and Pakistan made warlike preparations.
