That which haunts us so that we cannot sleep is the real passion; The memory of the former Indian President who taught the world to dream is seven years old.

The memory of former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam is seven years old today. If you ask who is the most popular president India has ever seen, it will undoubtedly be the name of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. The life of APJ Abdul Kalam aka Abul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam was a success story of conquering poverty with wings of fire. Born on October 15, 1931 in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu in an ordinary family, Kalam has a story of simplicity and perseverance behind his rise to the highest position in the country.

Abdul Kalam told the world that what haunts us so much that it does not allow us to sleep is not a mere limitation that we see in sleep and disappear when we wake up. His new definition of the dream inspired hundreds of thousands of young people. His life and the books he wrote inspired the world to dream. Fireflies and burning minds were like that.

Matamitri's bond was touched at an early age from the friendship between Pakshi Lakshmana Shastri, a priest of the Rameswaram temple, and Jainalabdeen, her father. He himself has often said that he was not very good at studies as a child. But he had a great desire to learn. He did not hesitate to spend hours on this. He fought hard for his dreams. That's how he studied physics and aerospace engineering and from there became the head of ISRO.

He made valuable contributions to the development and coordination of India's indigenously developed Satellite Launch Vehicle and Ballistic Missile. Later he led India's nuclear tests. He was elected as the 11th President of India on 19 July 2002. On July 27, 2007, he stepped down as the most popular president India had ever seen. He had a clear vision for the future of the country. His style was to set a definite goal and move towards it without fail. The genius passed away on July 27, 2015 while giving a speech at the Indian Institute of Management in Shillong.
