In the National Herald black money case, Sonia and Rahul pocketed Rs 395 crore.


Reportedly, Congress president Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi made a profit of Rs 395 crore in the National Herald transaction. They were able to acquire such a huge amount by illegally acquiring the immovable property of Associated Journals. Based on the documents of the Income Tax Department, the national media reports that they have made money by corrupting the immovable properties of Associated Journals worth Rs 800 crore.

Young India, which had only a share of Rs 5 lakh at the time of its inception, gave Rs 50 lakh to the Congress. It is reported that this is a financial fraud equivalent to hawala transaction. 50 lakhs to the Congress by taking an illegal loan of Rs 1 crore from the Kolkata-based DOTEX company. This amount, which is said to be a loan, is shown to be a contribution according to the accounts of the Dotex company. The report also said that the transactions were done within three months without paying adequate taxes. The Delhi High Court had dismissed the petition filed by Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi seeking to end the proceedings of the Income Tax Department. Both were questioned by the Enforcement Directorate in a money laundering case.
