Reportedly, Congress president Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi made a profit of Rs 395 crore in the National Herald transaction. They were able to acquire such a huge amount by illegally acquiring the immovable property of Associated Journals. Based on the documents of the Income Tax Department, the national media reports that they have made money by corrupting the immovable properties of Associated Journals worth Rs 800 crore.
Young India, which had only a share of Rs 5 lakh at the time of its inception, gave Rs 50 lakh to the Congress.
